World No Tobacco Day Rally Organized by KRANTI in Berhampur
BERHAMPUR, ODISHA: On the occasion of World No Tobacco Day, KRANTI, a social, literary, cultural, and sports organization based in Berhampur, organized a public awareness rally to educate citizens about the harmful effects of tobacco consumption.
The rally commenced from Kholikote College Ground at approximately 9:00 AM and proceeded through Old Bus Stand, Church Road, and Pani Tanki Road in Berhampur. Participants carried awareness messages encouraging people to quit smoking and avoid all forms of tobacco products.
During the rally, organizers highlighted the serious health risks associated with tobacco use, including oral cancer, lung cancer, cardiovascular diseases, and other life-threatening illnesses. Citizens were urged to adopt a healthy lifestyle and contribute towards building a tobacco-free society.
The event witnessed active participation from members of KRANTI and local residents who joined the campaign to spread awareness among the public.
The rally concluded with a strong appeal to citizens, especially youth, to stay away from tobacco products and promote a healthier future for themselves and society.
